The sweet spot of social networks?
We already knew that Motorola was putting a lot of efforts into Android development in order to re-ignite the company. We also knew, by way of rumors, that Moto was aiming at promoting social network services as an important differentiator in their phones. Now this is not only confirmed as something called “Motoblur” (not a very good name is it?), we also know that there will be API’s for accessing Motoblur. An interesting development, to be sure… [

What Motorola attempts to do and which others maybe will not, however, is to reach out to all major US carriers, regardless of wireless standard. That is of course an old Motorola strength, focusing on their home market. Here is, then, a little exercise for Motorola's competitors: what can they do instead, to better compete with Motorola, when Moto is preoccupied with customer testing to all different network standards in NAM?
